About the Instructor

Maria De Leon, MS, CCC-SLP, BCS-AAC is a board-certified AAC specialist and founder of VocesAAC.

Her work focuses on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), culturally and linguistically responsive practice, communication partner support, and evidence-based intervention.

Maria has presented at professional conferences and contributed to AAC-related educational and clinical initiatives. Her teaching emphasizes practical implementation, ethical clinical reasoning, and culturally responsive care across settings.

Is this cohort live?

Yes. All sessions are held live on Zoom and recorded for replay access.

How long will recordings be available?

Participants will have access to recordings for 60 days following the final session.

Is this appropriate for beginners?

Yes. This cohort is designed to provide foundational AAC clinical knowledge and implementation guidance for clinicians and educators who are newer to AAC assessment and intervention. The training will also introduce more advanced clinical concepts to support deeper clinical reasoning, implementation planning, and continued professional growth across experience levels.

Will I receive ASHA CEUs?

This cohort provides professional development hours and a certificate of completion. It is not currently offered for ASHA CEUs.

What if I miss a session?

Recorded replay access is included for all registered participants.

Are refunds available?

Due to the educational and digital nature of this cohort, refunds are not available once the cohort begins.
